Schaeffer Schaeffer

Nora Cate Schaeffer, the Sewell Bascom Professor of Sociology, has been named the Midwest Association for Public Opinion Research's 2015 Fellow.

The organization made the announcement at its 40th annual conference last month. MAPOR Fellows are MAPOR members who have made significant contributions to MAPOR through scholarship, service to the organization or other means. This is a prestigious award and Schaeffer now joins the ranks of luminaries in the field of survey research, including former director of the U.S. Census Bureau Robert M. Groves (2008 MAPOR Fellow).

Schaeffer, who also serves as faculty director of the UW Survey Center, teaches courses in survey research methods, and conducts research on questionnaire design and interaction during survey interviews.
